High Silicon Cast Iron Anode

High silicon cast iron anode was first used in the United States, initially only in the laboratory application, to the early 80s, the anode began to be used in industrial production. The 14.5% Si cast iron anode was found to be easy to corrosion in seawater, so after using the anode in seawater is added to the metal chromium, chromium's role is to reduce the original corrosion rate of anode. Using this design of the anode, almost all the media environment to adapt to such as sea water, fresh water, salt water, soil, etc..

The principle of high silicon cast iron anode is when the current flows through the anode, the anode material surface oxidation will occur, the formation of a protective film, a protective film for its excellent acid resistance can reduce the corrosion rate of the anode itself. However, the oxide film is not alkali resistant, so when the anode is used in a dry and high sulfate environment, the anode film on the anode surface is difficult to form and is easily destroyed by the surrounding material.

Our company supplies Single Head HSCI Stick Anode and Double Heads HSCI Stick Anode, based upon the shape of our stick anode. For cable connection means, we have HSCI Stick Anode with embedded seamless pipe, HSCI Stick Anode with embedded bolt and HSCI Stick Anode with caulking lead. Depending on customer's requirements, we can supply HSCI Anode installed with cable or otherwise.

Chill Casting is the dominant method for our anode products with more consistent weight, greater density and better performance.
